Morimoto XB LED - Worth the price

Are these worth the price or are there other great substitutions out there that can compete?

Thanks

The Gen2 XB headlight housings are good and so are the new OEM LED housings.

However, if you're referring to just the drop in 2Stroke LED bulbs they offer for your stock halogen projector housings, don't expect great results.

They're absolutely worth every damn penny for these gen2 babies. World of difference going from stock halogens to these babies and not just that but I get so many looks that I get slightly aroused every time.

CHeck out my thread with pics here, Folks, I finally did it. : 4Runner

God, so sexy. Blame it on me if your wife gets mad about you buying these headlights. Go full send if you're going to join the LED life. Don't bother doing HID garbage

I have the Gen 2 on my Tacoma, they’re really great. A little on the expensive side for sure but worth it. Saving to buy a set for my 4R.

I also prefer the more OEM look on the Alpharex, but they are not “good headlights.” I’ve had the Luxx and now the Morimoto V2. They don’t really compare

As far as brightness goes? I was looking at the Luxx as well just because they're significantly less.

I have the Luxx. They've got a pretty narrow beam pattern and absolutely no hot spot at the top of the beam whatsoever, so the distance projection is not good. I'm considering selling my Luxx's and getting the Morimotos.

My friend, there is NOTHING TO CONSIDER. Get rid of 'em, buy gen2 morimoto NOW.

Folks, I finally did it. : 4Runner

Just look at these pics I took, man...this is more than enough to sway anyone into buying a set of Morimoto if they can afford it.

Lets put it this way...Luxx = budget headlights that only achieves the "look" but doesn't produce results in regard to lighting.

Morimoto's? They both ACHIEVE THE LOOK AND PRODUCE OUTSTANDING RESULTS WHEN IT COMES TO LIGHTING OUTPUT.

Quality > quantity.

I absolutely loved having these on my 2020. The "on" sequence is so cool. Turn signals are the best... They're currently back in their original box and up for sale here in the SF Bay Area if anyone is interested. Hit me up!

i bought some fall of last year. Ran the LED bulbs in stock housings...

I will say they look brighter... PITA to get the perfect "aim" - just lots of tinkering. Too high, then not far enough apart, then one too low... but they are dialed in now (the how to only gets it so close...)

Worth the 1200... meh each their own. I couldnt stand all the chrome in the oem housings.

Used ones still fetch a pretty penny if i ever decide to go back.

I chose morimoto over alphas because of quality reviews and what friends have done (gone from alphas to morimotos)

New guy can't figure this out.

Just signed up and have a couple questions concerning my '95 4 runner.
Apologies for jumping on this thread but I can't seem to make the site work
Whenever I click a thread link all I get is a blank tab unless they are brand new threads (like this one).
I can't figure out anyway to post a new thread or post. Can't contact administrators (blank page).
Anyone willing to help me post some questions on my rig?
