A long time ago, not in my 4R, I was going about 10mph because I knew the roads were bad. I approached a four-way stop and hit the brakes. The car slid on ice for about 50 feet right through the intersection. Thankfully, the other cars just sat there and watched me slide. It could have ended very badly, from a car damage standpoint. I was only about one mile from home when it happened.
My local (Chicago) weather forecast says freezing rain starting any minute now (9pm) for about three hours. I’m glad I don’t have to drive anywhere!
