Problems after replacing clock spring
I replaced the clock spring in my 2012 4Runner Trail today and everything seemly went smooth. When I hooked everything back up the power steering system warning, the multi-terrain select, and slip indicator are all illuminated and will not turn off, regardless of what selections I make. I hooked a scanner and the vehicle is not giving any codes.
Obviously, this is related to the replacement of the clock spring, but I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

OEM or aftermarket replacement? Did you center the clockspring and steering wheel, and was the steering wheel straight with the wheels? Did the lights come on immediately, or after driving a ways?
You are going to want Techstream to read the ABS/VSC codes. You can do the zero point calibration and reset (search this forum) with a jumper wire in the OBD port to hopefully clear your codes.

The sensor was an aftermarket replacement.
I did center the clockspring and steering wheel and the wheel is straight with the wheels.
The lights came on immediately.
I'll check into Techstream and search for the ODB jumper post to clear the codes.

You can also access the abs codes by using a obd d'ongle and motordata app will have to pay for the 4runner add on.like 10 bucks.

Zero Point Calibration is in order. Dealer can do it for about $100 or you can get Techstream cable and software and DIY (which is after your time and components involved will cost about the same).

Error code
I hooked up a scanner and am getting a C1 433 Steering Angle Sensor Internal Circuit error. When I turn on live data and move the wheel the value does not change.
Would a zero point calibration still help or does this mean the new clock spring module and the original steering angle sensor are not compatible?
Should I roll back to the original unit and then perform the zero point calibration?

I'd try simpler things first. Original OEM part, but suspect your codes won't go away with it. You've nothing to loose but time by trying.

Rolled back to old unit and no change. The zero point calibration didn’t help either. Guess I’ll chalk this up as an expensive lesson.

OEM Clock Spring and Steering Position Sensor Install
I finally received an OEM clock spring and steering position sensor. In the hopes I don’t have the same issues as with the non-OEM clock spring, are there any precautions I should take?

I bricked my steering angle sensor by having the steering wheel a spline off on the steering rack, so the wheel was turned like 20 degrees off center. It threw a C1433.
When I replaced my steering angle sensor, the lights all went away as soon as I turned the ignition on. I drove it for about 1/4 mile before performing the ZPC and haven't had any issues since (October 21)
Disconnect battery and make sure the clock spring stays centered during installation. After you break the locking tab, you can find center again if you need to by rotating it fully both ways and counting the turns, just be careful and don't rotate it with enough force to damage the ribbon cable.
If for any reason your steering wheel isn't centered, stop immediately and turn ignition off. Mine bricked after driving straight for maybe 1000 feet or so

so CLOCK SPRING EXPERTS sent wrong part. then told me I put it in wrong or broke it LMFAO ya right 4 weeks later ....I researched and attempted to order correct one this time with angle sensor as i am guessing that is what when bad a after wrong part. So today I am attempting again to reinstall. and fingers crossed I'll never not know how to fix my vehicles ever again!!! dress or not this chic is gonna learn to turn a wrench!!!
any advice on how you fixed it?

Did you get it complete? Any issues?
My advice on clock spring replacement is disconnect the battery and work slowly with the electrical connectors and unit itself. You can easily destroy the spiral of cable ribbons that run through the unit if you install it at the wrong orientation relative to your steering wheel.
When performing the install look through the clear indicator window on the unit to see the rotational position you are at. You can also spin the unit through its full rotation in both directions to find its center point. Install the unit while it is centered in its rotational range. If you install it out of center you risk tearing all the ribbons as you spin the steering wheel through its range. Best of luck.

So I was able to get it all installed however I completed a 0 point calibration and had to include the downhill assist. For the life of me I can't seem to find a app that works with the Forerunner 2012 I have a OBD scan tool that is a v e e p e a k Plus but nothing seems to 0 point calibrate the steering angle sensor which that still seems to be the issue and just yesterday I was driving and the traction control light illuminated flashing and the brakes seem to activate causing a very bad grinding kind of noise. So again I attempt to 0 point calibrate the steering angle sensor that was the code that it was throwing a c1433 something but if I could just get the correct scan tool and ask combo or obd pin layout 2012 to locate correct so I can find out if it's the actual steering angle sensor I have the previous one that obviously was not the bad part it was the clock spring.

C1433 means your steering angle sensor is not working, and no amount of scan tool is going to fix it. When you fix the steering angle sensor or wiring problem, the code will self clear in a few seconds.
C1433 Either condition is met:
With the IG1 terminal voltage at 9.5 to 17.4 V, the skid control ECU receives an error signal from the steering angle sensor for 0.012 seconds.
An open in the sensor power supply circuit for 1 second or more.
