Rear rubber cargo mat

Hey y'all. Looking for some help.

After going to my local dealer to be told that they cannot sell me just the rear cargo mat (I have to buy the whole set), and also refusing to tell me a part number. I'm at wits end.

I tried searching for the correct mat. But the toyota parts site's are so confusing on which is the correct part number.

I need a rear cargo mat (not carpet) for a 2021 4runner TRD OR, no 3rd row seats, and no sliding tray.

Anyone fancy helping me out will receive much praise! Lol

I might have one available for sale as I don't think it will fit my current ride with the sliding cargo tray. Shipping might be costly though...

Weather Tech sells the individual cargo liner. #40440 about 120.00 bucks
For around 300.00 bucks you can get the whole set.

Dont sweat it. These things are pretty cheap. I'm sure I can find a dealer not to far out from me.

For both of these. I currently have the husky liner. But I am currently installing the oem audio plus dual subwoofer set up, and with the husky liner I would have to hack it up. So I would just rather have a finished looking mat after all this work (and money) lol.

P.s. the new sound is already awesome! And I havent even installed the 2 subs or ANY amps yet. The new speakers of just running off the stock radio

You should post up your impressions in the OEM Audio thread. I have the speakers & amp setup and it does sound way better than stock, but definitely no bottom end. Contemplating adding one of their subs if it will give me some actual bass.

The Weathertech and Toyota mats are basically rectangle and do not cover the spaces to each side just inside the hatchback. Husky covers that area.

I replaced the OEM with a Husky for that reason

BTW as I recall there are 3 mats. One depending on whether you have cargo tray, 3rd row seats, neither. Make sure you get the right one

Right now i am just running the speakers with the factory amplifier. definitely no low end. but my goodness does it already sound better than factory.

Hopefully the dual subs, and both amps will be here Tuesday. So once installed i will absolutely post in there.

I will say, i added some sound deadening to the truck also, and man did it make a difference. just closing the door now sounds like a mercedes lol.

I seem to recall reading that the Toyota OEM rear cargo mat is really low quality and most people preferred the husky or weathertech. Comments were that the OEM cargo mat was really thin and seemingly cheap more plastic/less rubber material.

I ended up with Husky for all of the feet liners and cargoliner.com for the rear area and back of rear seats. Others prefer canvas back over cargo liner.

yeah i have seen that not a lot of people like the OEM mat.

I am in the process of installing the OEM Audi plus dual subwoofer set up. i currently have the husky liner, but it has little feet hanging off the side that cover the tie down points closest to the rear hatch. So i cannot use it, because the subs are installed in this "pocket". i understand i could cut the husky liner, but after spending all that money on the audio i want a nice factory finish, and not some hacked up mat. lol.

Edit: Actually. looking at the weathertech mat. it is just square. So should work with the audio set up. i despise the hard plastic type mats. but it looks like there are no rubber type mats available.

Anyone have the weathertech and can advise how plastic-y it is?

I have the weathertech mat. It’s fine. Not sure what you mean by “plasticy”, though. It’s not hard plastic. It bends. It’s not super thick but does a fine job keeping sand, dirt, etc from getting on the carpet. I have OEM Toyota rubber floor mats in the front end rear floorboards. They feel pretty much like the weathertech mat. Easy to overthink this decision, but don’t.

I went to the Tractor supply nearby and bought a small stall mat (for horse stalls) and cut to size. it's about 1/2" thick

works perfectly.

If anyone goes this route, let it air out for a few days in the sun. They do have a rubber odor to them at first.
