Mods that should be done at the same time as magnuson supercharger install?
For those that have installed a magnuson, I am curious if there are mods I should do or things I should change while the car is apart during install? I already bought constant tensioning hose clamps to prevent the intercooler hoses from leaking coolant, but any other things that may be good to do?
Are there better pulleys available for the kit like non-plastic idlers? or is there an available smaller size pulley for a bit more boost?
Any other things I should upgrade? I know I could install the CSF aluminum radiator but don't see much benefit currently.

I did consider that, but not sure if it would be worth it if I don't tow ever? I do have some weight added but nothing to that level I think. I still will look into it more though now that you mention it. I wish the trans could be easily tuned to shift better and increase line pressure.

I installed mine with 93k on the truck. The only thing I did different was change my serpentine belt before I added the new blower accessory drive. I received a faulty tensioner with the new blower so I had to change that out shortly after the new install. You might want to consider a catch can. I wouldn’t recommend a smaller pulley on the blower because if tuning issues and it would most likely require more fuel. The stock fuel pump does not get changed out with the new kit. I’ve had mine on for almost 27k miles now. All of those are trouble free.

Not a mod, but if you’re over 50-60k I’d do the water pump too. I did mine at 80k, looked perfect but I figured I’m 95% there and wouldn’t want to pull it all apart again for $125 part

Its actually pretty new so also another reason I didn't see much need for the radiator change. its a 2018 and just barely over 30k. I did consider upgraded alternator but not sure its necessary or not.

I’m a bit jaded from having a pulley and (further) tune made available for a different vehicle that was supercharged from the factory.
I will treat the Toyota no different. I am waiting for pulleys and enhanced tunes for the super chargers coming out. I don’t see the value in the cost vs the power increase indicated. Not yet.

lol i doubt it. I am hoping that it is even as fast as my 07 v6 camry once it is installed. I would be happy if that its equal to that. ecstatic if its faster.
My G35 was supercharged and almost 500whp and it still felt too slow.

I sort of agree... I just see it as the best option currently, especially because I live at altitude. I live at 6200 and camp between 9-12k ft. so just driving to those destinations with all the gear it struggles a bit. I also wanted to get one before the price increases a lot.

If you have larger tires, trail armor, steel bumpers, etc. it will feel closer to stock again. You definitely won't shit yourself. I wish it was like that.
As for parts, I don't do anything different when I got mine and I've had it sense it was available with zero problems. As for more boost, the issues you are going to run into are the lack of fuel and getting someone to tune it for you. I also have other cars with blowers and turbos where you can go wild with boost. But my other cars have a much bigger aftermarket backing as far as speed parts go so tuning is easy to find.
The only option I have found so far is URD. Here are the parts I am thinking about adding to my setup:
UCON-EMS Advanced Engine Management V-3, 2010+ FJ Cruiser, 4Runner V6 - Underdog Racing Development
URD 7th Injector Assembly for 2010+ 4Runner and FJ Cruiser 4.0L V6 - Underdog Racing Development
URD 2010+ Toyota 4Runner Fuel Pump/Filter Upgrade Kit - Underdog Racing Development

I do have 33's but tbh I don't really know what stock feels like because I put them on within the first 50 miles. pretty much straight from the dealership to discount tire. I also have about 300lbs of weight added to it. more with RTT on and camping gear packed.
I myself am just hoping it can at least feel like my camry. I would be happy with that.

Unfortunately, I have not found a smaller pulley for this setup. I can tell you that when I installed the aFe Momentum intake and URD exhaust, I saw about a pound to a pound and a half more boost (between 7 and 7.5 PSI total). I have since removed both those mods because I recently took the family on a long trip and wanted a quieter ride. Plus the guys at URD tell me that the stock fuel system is pretty maxed out with 6 PSI so I am asking for trouble when running even 1 more. So for now they are staying off until I either get the UCON or find an actual tuner. Just FYI, the UCON isn't an actual custom tune. They get you close then hope the UCON can adjust based on sensor readings (that is why I am a bit hesitant).

The Ucon comes pretuned with a map from URD, but I am pretty sure you can also have it custom tuned on a dyno. Now they have HPtuners for the 4runner though so you can get a custom tune with that. I will probably lose at least a pound of boost at altitude and I do have a TRD intake, so hopefully it will help that out a bit.

My recommendation is a catch can. I am pulling about a tablespoon of blow by oil a fuel tank. I do not want that stuff in my supercharger. I have a Morimoto and it does an ok job. There may be better ones out there.
The other item I am seriously looking at is an AFR/Boost gauge with logging. The URD supercharger makes some serious HP and I don't want any pinging. I just haven't figured out where I would put it. Logging would be an added bonus as when you are driving things happen too quick to monitor.
