Many thanks in advance.
I did a write up on this six years ago with a Yakima 16
Just go into my Album pages click on the picture of the roof top box and look at the caption on the bottom of the photos.

Would any of these boxes work with LFD or Victory cross bars? They hug the roof even more than the factory bars, so seems that would not be the case.

Yes a guy bought my Thule Evolution 1600? box and had LFD bars on, it slid the box forward just enough to clear the shark fin, a bit further forward than the stock crossbars would allow. It cleared the roof on the LFD bars (the claws/ mounts). I had a 1600 or 1800... they don't make that particular model anymore.

Thank you! I have Victory bars. I didn't realize how much lower they sat then the LFD ones. I guess I'll have to find a way to try one unless someone else has already.

Regarding the height of the LFD bars vs. factory crossbars, I may not have explained myself correctly. LFD and factory bars probably sit about the same height off the roof.
The difference in my case was the LFD front bar could slide JUST enough forward compared to the factory bars to clear the shark fin at the back. That was a big long roofbox, you should be fine with one of the smaller models using the factory crossbars.
