So like many others I try to find the best lighting for my 4Runner. I had a 2017 that was all Halogen and disappointing. I also have a 2017 Tacoma and a 2019 Highlander. I have not been a fan of aftermarket LED's as I understand their limitations. I have done the H-9 low beam conversion in all of my other cars as they have projector style headlights. That has helped.
I am now in a 2021 Off Road Premium with LED lows and fogs. They are very nice. But Halogen highs? As a result I was willing to try LEDs.
Auxito reached out to me and asked me to try their DDY-13, 9005 replacements.
The lights themselves seem well built and come with a small cooling fan and a module to eliminate canbus errors (I had none).
The LED's look like they are positioned to imitate a Halogen filament. I won't bore anyone with the installation as most on here can either do it or Google/YouTube it.
The lights also come with extra O Rings and a small Allen wrench so you can properly position the bulb and so you will have a secure fit in the 9005 housing. All pretty self-explanatory. Fit and finish good and installation was easy. So far so good.
As for performance I have attached pictures.
Boxing and lights
Factory low beams and fogs
Auxito LED compared to stock 9005's
The Auxito LEDs appear brighter and definitely whiter than the factory 9005's
As far as performance, I live in the city but will be testing them out in a couple of weeks in the mountains.
I'm glad that they better match the factory LED's and I'm hoping that they will throw as far as the factory halogens. I'm not as much worried about scatter and blinding others as these are high beams and should only be used when there is not another car present. I will report back as to my opinion on performance.
As far as durability, only time will tell. It is nice that it has a two year warranty.
Auxito sent me these to test but I did not receive any other compensation to do this. I told them that I would post my honest opinion. They seem responsive so hopefully they handle their customers that way.
For the price on their web site these seem like a pretty decent deal for a high beam LED. They may be worth a look.
YMMV
