URD Y-pipe won't fit. Warped headers?

I had a rear cat stolen a while ago so got a URD Y-pipe (which is very nicely made) instead but can't get the bastard lined up. I have the stock headers/upsteam cats and tried removing the studs, loosening the bracket bolts, etc but can only ever get 3 out of 4 holes lined up. URD says the stock headers can warp but they look ok to me I dunno. I'm about to email them back with the pics. I don't really want to send it back and I doubt they want a return because it was $100 to ship it and I imagine they test these things on a template before sending them out. It's made of 304 stainless and looks extremely difficult to bend. I don't really trust a muffler shop not to damage it forcing it on there (which I can do myself for free ).

I feel like I might be able to brute force it with a long pry bar but then it would be under a lot of tension. If I did that will the headers unwarp themself or the Y-pipe get hot enough and "settle" to remove any strain so to speak? The other thought I had was heating it with a torch to massage it in to position. I'll need to take this thing off again if I ever have to drop the AT pan so I'd like it to fit nice.

It needs to be kind of twisted on either side to fit, not bent exactly. Any thoughts?

What you show is not enough to worry about IMO, so I would "massage" them into place, bolt them up and go.

I would give URD a call first before I brute forced them..They may advise heat to make them move into place with persuasion.

It appears there is a slight warp on the end that doesn't line up. I'd unbolt whole thing and start with these 2 where the warp is (do not tighten). Then, give it slight steady pressure and rotation to get other 2 bolts that you know lined up fine before. Tighten all 4 up and you should be good to go. Don't be too shy about it. G.L.

Agree with both Saker & <<<< ! Call & show them your pics , mine didn't line up in rear very well & had to warm up to get it line up ,still have to tighten up from time to time !

i was worried about this when i installed mine, i got lucky, zero issues. that doesnt look too bad to "massage" into place though. I agree, dropping the tranny pan for service might suck if theres tension on the new y pipe.

x2, its a super nice piece of exhaust work.
