Anyone have PDF of 2018 TRDORP service manual? (doing brakes)

I'm about to do my brake pads myself for the first time and looking for front and rear caliber torque settings... I'm finding inconsistency in what I see online so thought I'd just pay the $20 2-day fee for Toyota's TIS system and look it up from the source...

...except that the Toyota TIS site clearly says that you have to have a Windows-based computer to use the site and that Macs don't work. And all I have is Macs.

So... anyone have the manual that they can share?

Or can anyone give a definitive answer for 2018 TRDORP?

Thanks!

Front brakes - every 5k or 6 mo for visual; every 30k or 36 mo for measurements

Torque specs:
Brake caliper mounting bolts - 137 lb-ft (19mm) (this may be a typo, others have reported 91 lb-ft)

Rear brakes - every 5k or 6 mo for visual; every 30k or 36 mo for measurements

Torque specs:
Brake caliper mounting bolts: 74 lb-ft (17mm + short extension)
Brake caliper slide pins: 65 lb-ft (17mm)

91 is what I have read elsewhere, seems to fall in line with the rears
All 5th Gen should be the same

If all else fails, do what the design engineers do, follow the specs for the grade of bolt, They don't re-invent the wheel.

You do realize that what you quoted below contains exactly the uncertainty that I noted in the original post, right?

You do realize the factory service manuals take less than 3 minutes to find Googling? Took me 45 seconds to re-find them.

...or https://techinfo.toyota.com/techInfo...ite&_nfpb=true for $10/3 days you get access to any Toyota/Lexus manual (repair, specs, recalls, TSBs, Collision, wiring, etc).

Thanks, but as noted in the OP, TIS requires a Windows computer and all I have is Macs. I would happily pay the fee if it would work on my computer.

Techinfo is not Techstream and you don't need to reset any codes or use Mongoose cable etc. Techinfo is official page for Toyota/Lexus manuals if you don't have access to free repair manual PDF file online.

Perfect! Thank you! Now I just need to figure out how to unzip the damn thing on my Mac. Command line unzip is not working. Fun, fun, fun...

But thanks!

Looks like you have to use 7-zip. There’s a download link in the post somewhere as well as the password. That should unzip onto your mac or possibly iPhone then airdrop to mac

Great topic. Thanks for the answers. It's easier to work with manuals in PDF, so I also prefer this format. Plus, using CSV to PDF Converter pdfguru.com/csv-to-pdf you can convert, edit files, and leave notes. I like that it works online, so there's no need to download additional software. And regarding the question above, it also works on Mac.

There is (or was) software out there that allows you to run Windows based programs on a Mac. It's called Bootcamp or Bootcamp Assistant. I've had Macs since 2011 and was going to install this but didn't. I believe it involves partitioning your hard drive, loading the program, then loading Windows on that partition and then when you boot - you choose what you want to run. You can then install Windows programs on the Windows partition. It's been years since I looked into this; so I don't know if it is still an option.

I just changed front rotors & pads only struggles I had were

1 19mm caliper bolt wouldn't budge ! finally after awhile using a 18" 1/2" breaker bar it came loose.
Caliper pins werent too bad to knock out

Rotors!!!
I tried hammering them off with a mallet but no luck.
The next day I used two M8 1.25x 50MM bolts to remove the rotors!! It popped right off without issue, start to finish both rotors only 15 minutes.

Overall fairly simple process just be sure to grease caliper bolts , pins , pads etc...
