Is the Multi Terrain Monitor part of the Off Road Premium Plus Package with Softex?
A dealer I have been working with texted me an ORP "build" he working on for us.
I remember building a TRD ORP on Toyota's website a couple weeks ago and seeing the "Off Road Premium Plus Package with Softex" which the details said included the Multi Terrain Monitor camera system. It was a $850 or so add on. The dealer's text showed the same package, minus the word Plus on the build sheet, with no extra money. I asked him again about the camera system, and he said he thought that only came on the Pro. Now, when I go to Toyota's website to "build" one like before, the Off Road Premium Plus Package is just gone, even from the Pro. Has something changed, or a glitch in the website?

I just tried to "build" one on Toyota's website here and the the Premium Plus option isn't available as an option any more here either. It was before and as you stated for $850.
Strange .... maybe they discontinued it or can't get parts so they put ordering them hold.
The option code is or was "PO" and they were rare in this sales region(Gulf States} as I only tracked down a couple with the option when I bought mine and they were supposedly special ordered and the buyer backed out.
You can look up the build sheets with the VIN from Toyotas owners page like this of my build.. Tell the dealer to give you the VIN to lookup or they have them on autotrader/new cars which helped me track mine down . It was 500 miles away and flew to pick it up.

Someone on a 4Runner FB page mentioned that as well, a rarity to get it on an ORP, especially with KDSS.
I'mm see what the dealer says. He's trying to get the cargo deck than no one has installed. He's been on the ordering side of the dealership for 20 years and said he's had good luck getting the port to add options for customers. He ordered a van for someone and added a bunch of stuff and said when the van came in, it had almost everything. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good to know it's a possibility. I mentioned it to the dealer, and he's looking into it.

I personally wouldn't work through just one dealer as they tend to tell you what you want to hear AND are usually professional BS'rs ,...like adding a rear slide out tray. They are factory installed ,not port or dealer and there are actually a lot of parts needed to add one including the big rear side panels to be done right like the factory.
You can check other close by dealers/regions as I'll post the map down below. Like Reno or Portland dealerships as they are in a different region. Both people with Kdss/MTM posted from the Denver region.
There are 12 different Toyota sales regions in the USA.
Each regions leaders determine what vehicles and packages are ordered and in that region and ultimately what can be ordered by us through a dealership. They say they go by past sales but who knows ,maybe a dart board is involved.
Most are owned and controlled by mother Toyota but at least 2 regions that I know of are private family owned(Gulf States and Southeast) and do there own thing with BS port installed packages/add ons that you have to pay for .No KDSS for you! Google can tell you who owns them.
When I lived in Texas ,I couldn't believe how many 2 wheel drive 4Runners there were driving around and, and on the lots. Like 10 to 1 compared to 4x4's and they sold em ,so I guess they know what their doing.
You can check what different regions offer and can be ordered by putting in the zip code of a major city in that region. You'll have to clear cookies before going to Toyota home page to change zips or else it will keep coming up the one you originally put in . I found that the Denver and Central Atlantic regions had the most KDSS's by far. Very rare in the midwest regions.
Here's the regions..

Don't know what's going on but the number of "Packages" you can add to a Build on Toyota's website is less than 1/2 what it was a couple weeks ago. Granted, some were just duplicating some of the same items, but the Premium Plus with Softex and MTM package is definitely gone. Also, Army Green is gone form the color choice...is Toyota tapering off production of the 2022s due to more supply chain problems or getting ready to gear up for the 6th Gen production? No idea. Just sucks to need a new vehicle right now :-(.

I highly doubt there will be a 6th gen this year. They sold 144,000+ 4runners last year ,an all time high I believe, and still couldn't keep up with demand. That's over 1.1 million 5th gens sold and still going strong. Why would they change now as it has got to be a money maker for them ,but who knows what goes on inside their heads. It has to be supply chain issues.
There are some strange things going on though. When I build one on Toyota,s site from my zip ,there are only 7 option packages .
When I clear the zip and use Denver's 80020 zip there are 26 options and has the KDSS/MTM package and still have AG. It looks like some of the packages are the same with 2 different prices so maybe they are raising prices and the reason for website differences.
What exactly are you looking for and how far will you travel to get it? I had to fly 500 miles to get mine and put money down to hold when it was still on the boat 4 weeks out. When I got there, 5 other people were on the waiting list for it if I backed out. Maybe forum members can help locate one.

If I were younger and had more free time, I would consider it. But my life too crazy now to hop on a plane out of the area. Looking for an ORP with KDSS, Cargo Deck, Premium Plus Package with Softex (the one including the MTM), Moon Roof, and maybe the gun metal TRD rims. No TRD Performance exhaust, or any other add-ons except perhaps small things like running boards, floor mats, etc. Trying to stay below $50k MSRP Colors - No black, Silver, or White.
Thanks!

I just bought a new '22 ORP "Premium Plus" in July in NC (Southeast Toyota region) and the Premium Plus package included the MTM. It's not something I would have specifically asked for, but after having it for a month now it is convenient.
The only downside is that it moves the TSS sensor down where the bottom of the sensor is now flush with the bottom of the grille mesh (where it meets the valance area). The camera is mounted just under the grill garnish, above the TSS shield. This makes looking at full size bumper replacements almost impossible without doing all of the extra work to relocate both the MTM front camera and TSS now. I saw the Pro had this (as of '20 or '21 I believe) but it doesn't look like anyone is anxious to put out new bumpers that accommodate this.

I just ordered my ORP on the 18th and it will be a 2023. Just this week the dealership I am buying at started taking MY23 orders rather than MY22.
Here for the KC region distributor, the MTM was (apparently) not a common feature on the ORP due to chip shortages. The fleet manager stated that he expected the MTM to be a more common option for MY23, which surprised my sales guy. He thought I wouldn't be able to order it at all and called my preference a unicorn.
I don't know if the greater availability is a function of better access to chips or the feature gaining popularity.
Anyway, I'll be waiting to see of my "preference" gets turned into an actual factory confirmation when I get assigned a VIN.
