Eibach Load-Leveling System: how do you adjust it?
Hey all,
So I installed the Eibach Load-Leveling System, +400lbs version with their shocks about a year ago. +400 version because I was planning on getting a full steel rear bumper/tire carrier.
When I originally installed the kit I had the shocks disconnected and everything was nice and easy to turn by hand and adjust during install. I set it and it was good to go height wise after completing the install.
Well I finally installed the new steel bumper and tire carrier a couple months ago, so I need to adjust the Load system higher to compensate because now the rears sagging giving me negative rake.
I jack up the rear today. try by hand, it's not budging... I use the little sh!t piece of aluminum stock that they give you as the "adjustment tool" to stick in the holes to turn it. The aluminum is so soft it bent like a damn bendy straw. Completely fu@king useless. I have a couple very large pipe wrenches but neither have long enough teeth to get around it to grip.
Any ideas, or what have you guys done to adjust this? I dont want to rip the wheels off and take apart the damn shocks again just for this "easy adjustment".
Thanks all!
