2014 SR5 High Pitch Noise on Highway

Hey y'all.

Trying to pinpoint a noise from my '14 SR5 with 80k miles.

I have a very faint, high frequency "ringing/whine" coming from the truck at speeds above 60mph. It's almost like a very quiet high pitch steady hum that doesn't change frequency with speed or direction. The only thing I can compare it to is when you're surfacing/turning brake rotors and you get that high pitch metallic hum.

It's not a tire noise, or wind noise.

I know there are two TSB's for these trucks, one is the needle bearing in the front differential, and the second is to replace the entire rear carrier.

Anyone experience anything like this?

I've had this. There's a reason it sounds like a brake lathe. A piece of grit just the right size can get lodged between the backing plate and the brake disc, rubbing on the disc and setting up a screeching noise at highway speeds. It doesn't do any harm, and will work itself out eventually.
