Obscure question about radio on new 2022 ORP

We have rented a few pickups in the last couple years, usually F-150s. Seems to me, they all had a feature that would leave the radio playing after turning off the engine as long as you didn't open a door. As soon as a door was opened, it would kill the radio. Is there a way to get a new 4R do do this without hitting the Start button again to turn on Accessory mode? Ours seems to kill the radio as soon as I turn off the engine.

I always hated that feature. lol

Toyota doesn't do that but you could probably wire the radio to constant power and turn it off manually.

I believe in a Lexus, if you shut the motor off while the shifter is in neutral, it will stay in accessory mode, and you can then put it into park.

I've been meaning to try this in the 4Runner!!

I haven't had a vehicle that leaves the radio on with the key out in years, so am used to it. But actually liked that I didn't have to do anything else if I stayed in the rental truck after I parked to listen to the radio and suddenly hopped out, kind of like the headlight switch.

This works on my '21 ORP.

Turn the engine off in anything other than P, then put the vehicle in P. Radio remains on.

Yes, but when you exit, you have to remember to shut off Accessory Mode.

Radio keeps playing.

My Chevy truck does that and I hate it. I like having everything go off when I turn the switch off.

The other vehicle turned it off as soon as you open any door.
