Dunno if you'll have any luck with tires but worth checking Costco for sure.
The tires aren't available because there is none made. Costco doesn't make tires.

Yeah... I know. They only sell BFG, Michelin and maybe one other brand I forgot. Point is they have been finding their own paths around distribution bottlenecks by creating their own side channel. Plus are such a big customer to have priority over other retail for a bunch of products.

And you get 4% cashback if you stack executive membership with their Visa card.

As far as I know the only things they make are eyeglass lenses and chickens. Everything else Kirkland is re-badge contracts.

I’ve heard great things about Costco Tire.

I think it’s the glasses frames are what were mostly owned by conglomerate Luxottica. Lenses are usually made in house / on location to be able to meet “glasses in an hour” commitments often made by retailers.

The sales channels thing is dead on. Why do you think grocery store produce sucks so much now? Amazon sequestered all the prime fruit and vegetables for Whole Foods stores. You will NEVER find blackberries the size of your thumb at any other chain. It’s like two large ones stuck end to end. Raspberries too.

Because no other store can justify $5.99 for a 6 oz clamshell. Same size is $3.99 elsewhere for poorer product or $1.99 on deep discount (tomorrow they will be moldy.

I went to a specialty shop that deals in customizations of cars, trucks and SUVs to have the Westcott lift kit installed a few months ago and their supplier had the KOs in that size available. Supply has been replenishing but depleting quickly.

Their supplier was probably TRWholesale Solutions.

The tire size calculator you show is great. where can I access it online? Thanks for the info, I was hoping that someone had actually tried the K02 275/70/17 tires on a fifth gen and could tell me if they actually rubbed or not. Most of the Videos and threads use 285/70/17 and they definitely have to do lifting and cutting. I will probably go with the stock size for a lot of reasons one being reliability, the reason I bought the T4R in the first place.

I only drive across creeks to get to a couple of cabins and once in a while a big rock pops up. I put a full set of skid plates on it for same reason , reliability.

I have 275/70/17 KO2's with a 3" lift and Camburg UCA's. They rub at full lock but with some minor trimming and a heat gun it was easily fixed. If I hadn't lifted it I would've went with KO2's in stock size. Just know the 275's only come in E Load.

Ah maybe I remembered it backwards and it's the frames. Yes it's that Luxottica corp Adam Ruins Everthing did a video about. All I know is it's $140 for 2 pairs for my kid that arrive in a couple days, and like $300 for 1 pair that take 2 weeks at the regular (Luxottica owned) places.

Metric Tire Conversion

Can someone link us up with the thread with the tire size chart (green / yellow / red) ?

Costco is probably the biggest single customer for tires. So it's likely that they get priority to stock when others can't get any.

It's actually Discount Tire, which now also owns Tire Rack, FYI.
