I’ve heard great things about Costco Tire.
I think it’s the glasses frames are what were mostly owned by conglomerate Luxottica. Lenses are usually made in house / on location to be able to meet “glasses in an hour” commitments often made by retailers.
The sales channels thing is dead on. Why do you think grocery store produce sucks so much now? Amazon sequestered all the prime fruit and vegetables for Whole Foods stores. You will NEVER find blackberries the size of your thumb at any other chain. It’s like two large ones stuck end to end. Raspberries too.
Because no other store can justify $5.99 for a 6 oz clamshell. Same size is $3.99 elsewhere for poorer product or $1.99 on deep discount (tomorrow they will be moldy.
