Went to swap pads yesterday on my 2011 Limited with 145k and one piston on each of the front calipers was frozen. I’m in southern Ohio and this is the first issue I’ve had with this 4Runner but sounds like it’s very typical.

I did snap the brake line at the caliper and curios I’d there is another option for that last link in the line other than an actual Toyota part? It’s the copper/metal zig zag line that snapped with the 10mm male threads.

This is the part I’m looking to replace.

Third set ? wow, I've replaced the two front ones last year on my kids FJ 2011, nothing on my 4R yet and yeah I live in the rust belt so I guess I have been pretty lucky so far.

Question Caliper Issue with 13k miles

I have a 2019 Premium SR5 with just over $13k miles. Vehicle is garaged and sits mainly the whole week until the weekend as I work from home, unless I need to go somewhere but it is driven weekly for short distances. Toyota dealership stated after doing an oil change that my front pads/rotors and caliper are bad and needs replaced. I find this hard to believe and wanted input to see if the caliper is defective. Warranty is 3 years, 36,000 miles, which of course has expired since I purchased December 2019. Any feedback is greatly appreciated 👍

They can't know if caliper is bad without taking old pads out.
