Body shifted on Frame>?????

hey everyone.

I have a bit of a weird one for you all.

Quick background. Last week before a trip to Moab I had Toytech install a Icon stage 5 Suspension on my 2016 trd pro.
I has no issues with the suspension during the trip other than the remote reservoir hoses rubbed on the frame / body.

today I brought he car back to Toytech for some adjustments and they emailed me and told me my body has shifted on the frame a bit.

I'm not sure how (or if) this could have happened as the car has never been in an accident or has never been wheeled hard. any ideas Gents?

here is their email below

EMAIL START
First two photos are the driver side.
The spanner wrench has room to fit under the hose and behind the body.

The second two photos are the passenger side. The spanner wrench cannot fit behind the body. That is the cause of the rub. We can hammer the body over or you’ll need to take it to a body shop to get the whole body realigned to the frame.

We had to adjust your front upper control arms for the hose to clear fully.

This is going to require a full new alignment.

a spanner width between the frame and an arbitrary gage metal fender is not a solid measurement.

I'd collect my truck before they start "hammering it over"

I don't quiet know why the body shifted if there was not a significant impact. if all the body mounts good then maybe it was misaligned from the factory if so then the dealer should fix it Also was the body on the frame aligned properly when toytec did the initial install. Hopefully the dealer won't give you some ka ka ma mee excuse.

If the dealer tries to give you shit about your suspension, look'em dead in the eye and tell them that you have the suspension modified, not the frame. They need to make it right or corporate needs to.

On a side note is the rear reservoir hose bolted to the frame? Mine also rubs my body like that

id look at the actual body mounts, if they don't look like they've moved it's probably just always been like that

I admit I don't know anything about Ikon suspension so pardon my dumb question: Isn't it more likely the gap difference between each side is due to different flex angles of the rubber hoses?

It takes a significant force to shift your body on the frame. Unless the installer for some reason loosened and didn't re-tighten the body mounts for the install I do not see how the body could have shifted. I don't know why they would need to do this but like I said I know nothing about this suspension install.

Whatever--I would go to another shop for an evaluation of your body/frame situation before I would let someone adjust it with a BFH. Good luck.

Most likely it is within spec and left the factory that way. That sheet metal is probably 22-24ga, so the spanner being on either side of it is only a few mm difference.

There's no room for the body to shift. The bolts go through the body and frame mounts and that's where they sit.
