Need Help! Stuck in Mount Shasta, CA!!
I'm making my way from Sacramento to Washington state and found myself in an unfortunate situation to say the least. CHP had no luck pulling me out and I was already on a budget for this trip. I'm gonna try some local tow trucks nearby but I'm already assuming the worse for what they would charge since its located in a remote road. Thankfully CHP dropped me off at the closest lodge available.
In the struggle of trying to get out I heard a loud buckle and my 4Lo stopped working which im super bummed but all I care about now if just getting it out at this point. If anyone is local in the area and is able to help please send me a dm asap and I'd be more than happy to pay what I can. I'm currently in Weed, California at the moment and my rig is about an hour away in a remote road near Mt Shasta. Figured I'd give the forum a shot first since I can't make calls until a few hours from now.
Sorry if I'm not supposed to post this here btw just want this to be seen in an easy place and I could really use the help

Been there. Expect to pay around $500+ for an off-road rescue tow.

Does 4H still work.????
Looking at the pictures, would seem you could air down, use a shovel and floor mats to get out of there.
But if you are framed out, probably not.

I've been stuck just like this recently.
Air down 12 psi all tires. Grab a shovel, start digging. I mean dig until you are physically unable to dig any further. This will ensure that when a truck, tow truck, or loader does arrive, hopefully, the recovery will be that much easier with far less resistance.
ALSO -- try to not leave your vehicle unattended for too long. There's a bunch of shady people out there that will clean out your car in less than 15 minutes.
Most importantly, be safe. No need to rush things or sacrifice safety before and during the recovery
Good luck,

Need Help! Stuck in Mount Shasta, CA!!
I was in a similar situation recently and mine spent the night buried in mud and water. Same situation with towing companies not having off road access. It’s a pretty terrible feeling not having an immediate answer.
My saving grace was a buddy (the one who came out with his Explorer and got stuck with me) that dropped into a local 4x4 Facebook group and put up an SOS. We had a few volunteers within the hour and were out by noon that day.

I'm not sure if 4H works 2H forsure does but that's not much help. I'd be willing to try anything at this point but I'm an hour plus away with no ride to get back up there.

Thanks for tip, would need a ride period to get back up there and at that pint I'd try anything.

Thanks for your post, just looked for some 4x4 groups on FB and may have found one. Hope I can find someone there.
So far I'm striking out with local tow companies and insurance. This sucks.

For sure. From my very limited experience, hobbyists are looking for stuff like this. I think you’ll be fine.

If I wasn't working and 8 hours away from Weed I would help you out.....your best bet is to contact Norcal 4X4 Offroad Recovery group on FB.

Custom Sliders! Before a set of max trax? Take the easy way out…
Looks like you were having fun! Hopefully everything worked out. I’ve been there too, stuck in swampy sandy mud. A little technique at the wheel, after airing down, digging, and implementing max trax, should be all that is necessary.
