Beware of Scam: YOHO 4Runner Bed Platform For 5th Gen Trucks
This is the absolute shadiest business I've ever dealt with: https://www.toyota-4runner.org/member.php?u=591613
Purchased the bed in mid-December. Here we are in May, never received the bed, only false promises via email. And now over the last few weeks they've finally stopped responding to emails, calls, and they turned off comments in IG because they're getting crushed by people who haven't received the bed yet. This is 1 part a warning to all who are thinking about purchasing the YOHO bed solution and 1 part a plea for YOHO 4Runner Bed to refund the money they've kept now since December OR for the love of god just send the bed. I think we all understand supply chain issues due to the pandemic, but this is absurd and the level of unprofessionalism and lack of clear & honest communication is unacceptable by any standard.
They seem happy to take new orders as the bed is still available for purchase on their website:
YOHO Toyota 4Runner Bed Platform 5th Gen SUV - Camping Comfort $169.95 – Foxwood Merchants
I suggest doing yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

I called him out once, saying his crap is overpriced DIY grade, and he got sooooo angry. If you get IKEA parts and some fasteners from home depot, you can build the exact same thing he tries to sell for a whole lot less.
He's on this forum somewhere. I'm sure he will post shortly and cry a bit, or maybe he's too good for us now and only posts on the "gram"..lol.

God this reminds me so much of Kyle Updegrove who ran Tactical Armor Group, formerly Kennesaw Mountain Accessories (KMA, some definite foreshadowing going on there!) out of Georgia.
Claimed to make custom bumpers. Total scam, would have lead times exceeding your dispute window on credit/debit cards so you couldn’t charge back when he failed to deliver.
Left some people waiting 5-6 months, no product.

Ha! That seriously looks identical to the ikea bed my ex-wife had.

Do you recall a thread where someone shared the specs for something like this that they successfully put together?
Thanks for the suggestion!

It was a long time go but, he told us to go to ikea to buy those bed frame slats... I don't think he released specs but its not hard to figure out how to make that.
i personally wouldn't do it though. A simpler sleep platform will work better:
1. no issues with storage/space during transportation
2. no assembly at camp
3. no disassembly at camp
4. less weight.

unfortunately no.. i would do a DIY route, its really easy. A few of my buddies have made them. I personally have a drawer system, and made a simple extension.
Honestly, i would buy some backpacking camp cots that fit in the rear, if i had to do it over again. Search and you will find out what fits.

I ordered one of the plates from Aiden James in maybe early March. Yes, they were not the most responsive but I did get them on the phone a couple times and did get a plate shipped within a few weeks and I absolutely love it, so was it like ordering from Amazon? No, but it certainly wasn't 'bullshit', but I understand other's mileage may vary.

File a claim because you will probably never get it. There is no way he is in business anymore. You cannot maintain a brand with such terrible service.
I'm going to build a similar system myself because this design works well with my current storage system.
Just look at his Facebook reviews:
yoho4runner
And this Reddit discussion thread:
Foxwood Merchants / YOHO sleeping platform : 4Runner
Not a good look.

Its $170. Consider it a cheap lesson learned.
In the future don't buy stupid crap from nobodies.

I have tracking information for my fang lights coming from AJC. I placed an order last Tuesday and they shipped via UPS on Friday.
Do they have a history of being flaky?
