The best 3rd party nav/radio head unit with OEM look

I know there are other threads on this topic but I'm hoping for suggestions on a new 3rd part head unit replacement that's not big and has more of the OEM look to it. One reason for this is so it doesn't block the air vents and also I just prefer more of the OEM look.

What head unit do you recommend with:
iOS Car Play
XM radio

BTW:
Toyota looked at my OEM head unit and said it couldn't be upgraded for some unknown reason, I was going to pay $98 to have them upgrade the software with no guaranteed it would fix the rebooting issue-Yes, I tried all the other suggestions on the board but nothing helped. The service advisor said in most cases the update (only they can do) fixes this issue. This is the reason I'm considering a 3rd part unit now.

Thanks

The restarting issue is common, ours did it all the time when we first got it in 2016 (2014 entune/jbl limited). the dealer put a new unit in under warranty, that did not really solve the issue so I updated the firmware via the USB stick method (search on this forum) it was fairly easy to do, I just had to reboot the radio afterwards (hard restart by pulling the battery).

really does not restart anymore that I can recall.

This said, you can do the upgraded firmware on your own, don't need a dealer.

I tried that USB update and it put out a message it couldn't update it because the update was older than the one already present.

So for mine, it looks like 2017 is the latest (fairly sure this is the one I got) not sure if you're getting these from the toyota website but worth checking again maybe?

I tried this download at the link you posted. The unit did not see any update on the USB drive. I did this on Mac OS so I'm going to try it again with a Windows computer and see if that helps.

Thanks
