Okay, I'll indulge in a bit of ranting. Note: none of these pics are mine, but my personal vehicle does have all of these.
Of course, the fake hood scoop. I have it. I both like it, because I used to have a WRX, but also hate that it's non-functional.
This and other stupid pockets in the wheel wells that collect dirt/debris. Like WTF. How hard is it to make the wheel well smooth? Why is there a collection pocket?!
Not the worst thing I've ever seen, blends in okay, but fake carbon fiber? Ehh. (my shift knob isn't carbon fiber, that must be aftermarket)
Why is the interior plastic made of such a delicate material with no resistance to scuffs/scratches? It is some of the softest plastic ever.
I'm not a fan of the foot e/parking brake. I wish it was a handle style one. Maybe I'm just used to that from previous vehicles? But when I'm on the trail doing stuff and hopping in/out, it'd be nice if it was a handle.
I'm not sure if I'd use it... and I know some folks have modified theirs to add one, but I kinda wish that the 4Runner came with a driver's side a-pillar grab handle! I might have to do the mod one day.
To be fair, there's quite a few blanks available to wire in your own switches, but what would have been nice if they had pre-wired in some accessory switches. You're seeing that a lot more in Broncos and other vehicles. The buttons are already there with wiring/relays, you just gonna plug in.
Okay, #firstworldgripe here, but why don't they all have auto headlights? I've got auto high beams which I never use because it's way too slow reacting for me (unless out on a wide open road), but auto on/off would be nice.
That's all I can think of right now :P That being said, I like my car. I like it's ancient technology and chunky HVAC controls and semi-manual T-case. That's why I bought it and not some newfangled CUV thing!
