IKamper Skycamp 2.0/3.0 on Prinsu Roof Rack

I’m about to pull the trigger on the Skycamp 3.0.

Mounting options???

Install seems pretty straight forward.

Anyone have experience with mounting the Skycamp directly on a Prinsu rack? Pictures would be great.

I have the Prinsu rack with light bar. I have seen a video where one was installed, but now their light bar points more upward and can no longer be aimed because the tent now sits slightly on top of the light bar (this will not work for me). I do like the low profile look with how low the tent sits but was curious if there is something that can be used to raise the tent maybe 1/2” but still have a solid mounting point?

Thanks

prinsu sells tent risers that lift the tent up off the rails

this will also fix the rattling/clunking issues you'll get as well.

I mount mine on the front runner quick disconnect mounts on my Prinsu so that I can easily remove the tent when not in use.

How do you “easily” remove a roof top tent?

They are hundred of pounds and I’ve not been able to find anything other than home-made contraptions to help remove them.

Its fine with 3people easy with 4.

once you get the front on the rack it just slides the rest of the way and you can move it around side to side/front to back easily after that

IKamper Skycamp 2.0/3.0 on Prinsu Roof Rack

There are a number of overhead garage pulley systems on Amazon that would let you install/remove it solo with a drill. I was thinking of going that route when I picked up my sky camper. Looks like it would need to support at least 160lb.

Thanks.

I have seen those. I am curious on how the new 3.0 clamps will lock on the risers. As well as will the give enough support.

What did you end up doing? I have an ikamper mini3.0 with a Prinsu full no drill rack coming and wondering if I'm going to have issues mounting it on the 5th gen.
