Looks like smoked mesquite. Wish it was offered on the 4R.

Either an optical illusion or a custom paint job. It's definitely not a wrap. I'm leaning illusion because the spoiler looks black or gray. Could be an illusion caused by the orange light bouncing off the car behind it? Dunno. Not a physicist.

It was a dark chocolate brown and agreed it wasn’t a wrap. I took the picture and the rest of the 4runner wasn’t really altered the way I would expect a custom painted 4runner to be.

I googled this and that’s really close to what it looked like in person. Hard to believe someone would pay to have it fully custom painted like that.

Whether it's a wrap or repaint, it's not factory. A lookup of the VIN/license plate shows it's a 2016 SR5 2WD in Barcelona Red.

Generally, yes. If you google a plate with the state, it will return the vehicle info. From there, you can decode the VIN for the color.

A rootbeer metallic color would be cool. Or a darker burnt orange bronze-ish color, darker than inferno.
A rich teal blue/ green would be neat.
Some of the Isuzu Trooper colors from the late 1990's are/ were interesting.

In the 90s the Camry was offered in that color, whatever it's called. I knew a guy who got a great deal on one b/c the dealer couldn't sell that color.
