Thought I would update my situation in this thread for any poor sap that has as bad of luck with their 4runner.
Just got back from the shop they say it needs a new Purge Valve solenoid. I'm a little skeptical on that but they are replacing it under warranty so that's good. Time will tell.

If they got fuel in it or broke it during install, then its covered. We will never know..
But, as long as it is repaired and you get your runner back, thats the most important thing

It's funny you mention that because I was just thinking about the possibility of a purge valve. I mostly discounted it because I haven't seen one fail and cause the engine to be able to rev up; but it's possible if it was not functioning properly.

We have seen intermittent faults in purge valves cause lean codes on the new direct injection 2GR-FKS engines; I just haven't had one cause engine performance issues before.

The one thing I can't wrap my head around is why the purge valve would cause crank time to be like 6-10 seconds that just doesn't make sense to me. I can't get in until July 7th now so we'll see what happens when the purge valve is replaced.

Just got the call from the shop apparently it wasn't the purge valve solenoid. They replaced it and it still was throwing codes... They dropped the tank once again and apparently the O-ring was rolled up during the fuel pump replacement.

I'll talk to them more when I pick it up.
