I am. Firestone destination XT. I think this is the best tire for a 4r unless you want to do body chop stuff.

C load, 40 lbs, doesn't suck in rain like kbro2, 3. Peak

I'm leaning towards this size this coming fall before winter hits as mine are getting pretty thin. I currently have 285/70r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers but I get a tad bit of rub at full lock (lifted a bit, too).

Do you like these Firestones? I drive 95+ percent on the hwy, but when I get out west I do get off-road and enjoy spending a decent amount of time on trail. It just takes me 1000-2000 miles on the highway to get there so I want something that is pretty comfortable for long stretches on the interstate.

I'm really happy with my Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. Almost 30k on them now. Haven't had them on anything more serious than a really rough dirt road though, and i've never run them aired down. They're awesome in our MN winters. Quiet and smooth on the highway. Cooper's rating is different....these are their SL rated, which sounds like load C. On Tirerack, comparing these with C rated BFGs and the Firestones mentioned above, these have a higher max load of 2679 with the other two coming it at 2405. Their the lightest tire too, 39 lbs.

I'm running 255/80R17 and they have been great. Performance is similar to OEM, but a full 33" diameter.

I had ZERO rubbing issues with ~2.75" lift on factory ORP wheels (I believe +18 offset) and nominal rubbing at flex with 1.25" spidertrax spacers added (approx a -14 offset).

255/75 should have even fewer issues.

I'm running LT255/80 17 Falken Wildpeaks on OEM TRD Pro wheels. Lifted 1.75" and minor "viper" bumper cuts. No rubbing. I find that the truck tends to wander a bit unfortunately. But the tires soak up bumps very nicely.

Will be offroading them on 4th of July weekend, can't wait.

Edit: I will say that the 255/80 seems to have more offerings than the 255/75.

I'm running that size as that's what the PO opted for. No issues, some minor rubbing at full lock, but they perform well in all conditions including snow and ice through Grant's Pass in OR.

How tall are your 255/75/17 mounted and with the full weight of the truck?

My Firestones are 31.5

Why not run a 275/70-17 in a SL or C load rating?
I ran this size initially on my Pro without a lift. Later added some 1.5/1” Cornfed spacers. Before and after lift. No rubbing on the Pro because of the small OEM lift up front and the front fender lining trim done at the port on the Pros.
Pics before and after spacer lift. I run 285/70-17’s now.

We run 255/75 Cooper AT3 4S' on our ORP. IMHO, this is the perfect all around size for the 4runner. A little extra height with no drawbacks on performance or weight.
