Ditch lights and stuff
So finally got my ditch lights on. Also put on my new lightbar. Bar is Baja S8, the ditch lights are Baja XL80s. I have an auxgang for install, but not sure if im gonna use it. Anybody recommend a better light terminal box for a quality electric install?
Lights are all amber, I also have Baja amber fogs on it. Skid plates going on this weekend. Lots more to do, but good to get started after waiting for winter to end..

Looks good! How are ditch lights mounted? How do they interact with the hood when you open it?

Ditch lights are mounted on RAGO low profile mounts. They are bolted on each side on top of the two hood bolts on each side. There are absolutely zero clearance issues, when you open the hood, plenty of space all round. I have them secured to all the parts using hi security fasteners, either hex-pin type or double pin type, then I have epoxy on the fasteners for extra. The nut retaining the XL80 mount is a specialty spline drive 3 spline nut for extra security. I painted all the stuff black to blend in. Some minor touch up still needed.
Edit i went out and took some pics for you on fasteners and clearance.

I love my s-tech 6-switch system. it has 6 OEM style switches that go where your lower cubby under the head unit is. It has fuses and relays already hooked up. All you need to do is attach the positive to the correct wire and connect ground.

Not completely sure if your question pertains but..
Instead of adding, I used the existing 'Home Link' buttons to control my ditch lights wirelessly. They were un-used and give me three buttons to utilize. I did this as a cool idea project figuring it would not stand the test of time and I would wire traditionally after it failed. It has not failed.

I bought the spod bantam x, works great and was super easy to install, BUT $$$$. I still question if the $ was worth it over some other options

So on the SPOD is the big difference over say auxgang is power direct from battery and not like the auxgang off a live circuit with add a fuse?
On the back of the spod display is there any kind of mounting plate or attachment to mount it?

Yep, the terminal block is much cleaner, one wire through the firewall, think 2 ga size. The touchscreen has a mounting bracket that I attached to the dash in front of the left side air vent. Looks clean. The screen is not all that sensitive, and does not vibrate or anything when a button is pressed.

Have you tested the lights out yet? I am curious whether the roof light bar actually helps and if it causes glare or not. I bought the optional front cutous plate for a 40" light bar for my SSO rack and debating if I should put a light bar up there or not.
The ditch lights also look good. I have considered upgrading but haven't found the need for it yet. I have S2 Pro ditch lights and they seem to be sufficient for now.

No havent powered them yet. They are recessed abit back and the front fairing of the rack may reduce hood glare.
