This says it all
Lexus 460 with California plates, leather interior, aftermarket suspension and lift with AT tires, next to our SR5. Guess which one has seen more dirt? Pic taken in Lehi, Utah.

Mine sees a lot of dirt, but I do eventually wash it. It'd be a mistake to assume no dirt seen just because it's clean...

Californians....
I'll say by looking at their tires they've never left a gravel road (no chunking)

Ex-Californian shaming a current Californian because his vehicle is too clean. Moving to the Bitterroot and keeping your car dirty makes you so hardcore.

Taking closeups of someone else’s suspension & treads to post them online along with their license plate, while making assumptions about them and criticizing them, just isn’t cool. This thread should be taken down.

The King reservoir up front w the packing foam and tie wraps for a fastener is most peculiar.
Whether or not it's been off road? Judging by all the shine, un scuffed tread, and the undamaged foam on the res, I'd say brand new build.

'So i get my newly built GX from the shop-new lift & tires, planning my next overland trip...and it looks great...when i come out of the store and i see this dude taking iphone pix of up under my wheel wells...wth?!?!'
yeah, give a guy/gal a chance at off roading it before you shame them for just wanting it to be clean...

Some people like clean vehicles, myself included. I love to detail and all my vehicles in the driveway generally look really good. I even scrub off the wheel well liners and wheel barrels. As much as I like off-roading and use my 4R for camping, I like a having a clean vehicle more. So people probably think I never leave the mall parking lot but its not the case. That being said, I wouldnt drive around with my roof loaded out like that everyday.

I agree with Marcus. I am super meticulous about cleaning my vehicles. Mine can look like a swamp lizard one day, then look like it could be parked on a showroom floor the next. It's very therapeutic cleaning them so maybe that's why I enjoy it so much. I don't think it's fair to criticize them over their cleanliness.. What if they just installed it the day before and if you got to talking to them, they were actually really cool and about to take it to xxx and really dirty it up? Might make you feel silly

Its a nice build.
All that stuff in the picture looks brand new. the tires aren't even dirty between the treads yet and the resi looks to still be wrapped in plastic and not fully mounted yet.
Everyone's rig/build was new at some point and some people do try to keep it clean. I know it took mine a couple years till it had permanent dirt/scratches etc. and suspension showed wear as after every trip I pressure wash everything including underneath.

what's with the zip ties??? honestly I have no issues with someone who just wants to build up a rig for the fun of it without ever taking it offroad. how many people have sports cars for fun and never take them to the track. also not everyone lives where there are offroad trails readily accessible.
he or she is definitely getting their money's worth out of that roof rack though lol

To each his own....but looking at the frame and other underbits (not the suspension components), it looks to be pretty darn clean...something that you only see on newish or show car detail. If you go off pavement...There is always a light brown dirt film thats present on frame and underside. The only way to get it that clean is to wipe down the components with rag or small brush.
