I took some time to search the 5th gen section to see if anyone has had similar issues with this center brake light on the 2018 4runner. I did not find any relevant threads...My Local AutoZone is demanding almost $90 from me to buy a replacement and I don't think it's absolutely necessary to buy a new one. Is there any way to repair this light? I checked the fuse box and all the lamps are tied in to one fuse so I know it is not that. The wiring harness to the light looks good also. I'm guessing moisture got in there and fried it has anyone take it apart and seen if the bulbs are replaceable? Is there any aftermarket alternative to this? Thanks in advance for any info you may have.
I highly doubt you can resolder a shorted pcb board to get it to work again . If it was super expensive or rare maybe worth a shot. If being the key word !

I wound up using a table grinder and got rid of the plug for the most part only keeping the necessary plastic housing and then sealed it all up with epoxy. So far no issues.
