Accelarator pedal rubber pad

Hi, I've got a 2022 4runner. It's about six months old. I noticed recently that the accelarator pedal does not have any rubber on it, it's just hard plastic and a little bit slippery. Is this normal? The brake pedal has a rubber pad on top of it
thanks

It’s just a plastic accelerator pedal. No rubber piece that goes on top of it like the brakes. I did find that you can buy an aftermarket brake/accelerator pedal. I bought a black pair from eBay.
