accessing our Frontrunner slimline 2 rack
Looking to access our frontrunner rack from the tail-end. Ladders? handles? swingaway based steps?
Solution needs to be:
1. Strong - (I weigh 275. most ladders are not rated for me.)
2. affordable - ($500 seems crazy money for a ladder)
3. compatible - (Needs to with the frontrunner rack and back hatch as-is)
4. in stock - (not waiting a year for parts.)
5. Passenger side mount - (our swingaway is built for the driver's side only. It'll take up that space if/when we re-install it.)
Some notes
* Getting to the sides of the rack is covered- we have sliders that help us, and the Frontrunner slimline 2 rack has built in handholds on the sides.
* For the rear, we can stand very comfortably on the Victory4x4 rear bumper since it has a very useful flat top surface. But getting up onto it is a pain and somewhat dangerous since we don't have a solid handhold. We have a swing-away that we can use as sort of a handhold, but it's not currently installed and might stay off.
* I've also looked at handles from frontrunner that bolt onto the rear of the rack, but I think they'd get in the way of the hatch opening in the rear. Gonna check, though, since that would be the lightest, cheapest option.
