Good thing I got my Army Green Sport when I did.
Hello. I purchased an army green TRD sport last June. Love most things about it, except it didn't come with the intelligence package. Other things I wish it had was the overhead 360 camera as well as the homelink. With suplly being as limited as they are, I jumped on one when it was available.
Purchasing in June, maybe I should've waited to get a 2023? When I heard BSM and rear traffic alert was going to be standard on all 4runners, I figured I made a mistake. But when I heard Army green wasn't going to be offered in any 2023 trims and will be replaced by Lime Rush in the TRD Sport and TRD Off Road trims, I was relieved. Main reason I wen back to the 4runner was this Army Green,
Anyways, who else feels the same about the Army green?

Traditional toyota colors for their 4x4s are white, red, yellow and that sand/beige color.
Green comes and goes with vehicles,it is very fashion related.
Surprised they don't have a yellow 4 runner

Also silver is a traditional color.

I read an article several years ago somewhere that said white, silver and black are considered safe colors meaning that a dealer can stock them on their lots with little trouble selling them. Green, blue, red like mine etc. are more specialized colors that people either love or hate and they may not sell as well, pre covid of course.

The solid, nonmetallic colors, especially associated with special editions or body color trim, seem to escape the “color curse”.
Now, a metallic forest green SR5 with silver trim would have some noses turn up at it.

Fwiw...my dealer only had one 2020 pro and it was AG...I had them dealer trade it for my white one. I kinda liked the green, but I knew white would never go out of style. I also figured it would show less trail scratches. I have only ever owned traditional colors....white, grey, or black.

IMO the specialty colors should have only been produced in the PRO trim of that year. I think the AG PRO's look really good, but I think the new TRD Sports are the worst looking 4runner they ever made. This is just my opinion and I'm glad you love your choice.

Different strokes for different folks and I recognize the OP asked for opinions but man this can be a tough crowd sometimes. There are ways to disagree without being a tool and telling him he bought the worst 4runner in the history of everything.
I had a Pyrite Mica (metallic brown) 2nd Gen Tacoma. Really liked the color because it was less common and not one of the standard Toyota colors for the Tacoma.
I bought a Pro and they'd already stopped offering it in AG so I couldn't truly consider it at the time, but I definitely would have if it was available.

I’ve owned a lot of vehicles, and some years ago I resolved to avoid owning another vehicle that is white, black, gray, silver, or red. Just to avoid the monotony.
Here is an interesting Forbes article that cites a study on the effect of a car’s color on resale value. Spoiler alert: silver and black may be safe for dealer sales but they’re not so great at resale time.
Yellow Is The Color Of Money When It Comes To A Car's Resale Value
I love the Army Green myself.

I totally get what you are saying. But I would add that the cars design is really what makes a vehicle boring or exciting. A yellow chevy cruze is ugly, but a white or black 911 would be sweet. Some colors enhance body curves and some mask them.

Yes, the shape of the car is very important, but various colors can make or break a good shape. Not just the color. Whether or not the paint is metallic - even the size of the metal flake makes a difference.
