Where to get Vinyl Flooring
Anyone know where to get fitted vinyl flooring for a 5th gen 4Runner?
Getting tired of the frustration it takes to get the white hair out of the carpeting from my two German Shorthair Pointers.
I’ve tried looking but cannot find any for 5th gens.

@ JPOVS
I'm with you on this. I've been itching to rip out all the carpet, sound deaden the floor and find some way to vinyl the whole thing.
surely someone here has been down this road and can help us

Not sure about vinyl flooring. Thats probably something you'll have to custom cut yourself. Ive been using this and its worked great for keeping my labs hair off the carpet and seats. The fit is perfect and plenty of options to add more protection as needed. Not cheap but works very well.

I recall Toyota making a factory carpet replacement that was all rubber. I was looking at it for my 2012 Tacoma not sure if they ever made one for the 4Runner.

Haha. Part of the reason I chose the 4Runner was so that my dog could enjoy the rear window. But when the window is down the inside of the vehicle is a veritable fur tornado!
I’ve had good luck with the Lilly Brush.
But to answer your question, I’ve never heard of a vinyl or rubber replacement for the carpet.

Amazon, that's where we got ours. There's lots of universal ones.

The credit card size tool I think it may be difficult to access areas where I can barely get to with a vacuum cleaner such as between the seat and center console, and between the seats and doors pillars? I swear this Toyota carpeting is the least durable of any brand I’ve owned as mine shows lots of wear in those areas from using the vacuum cleaner repeatedly over some of these tight uneven areas. Same thing I have done before with other vehicles and less wear to show.
The vinyl/ rubber floor would also be useful for cleaning up dirt, leaf’s, and other debris that finds its way inside.
I have considered swapping out my Weathertech floor mats for some Tuxmat floor liners who have significantly more coverage but then I’m only covering up what I already don’t want that shows signs of light to moderate wear.
When I was looking before I could find vinyl/rubber floor for other generations, but not for our 5th gens.

Automotive interiors has molded vinyl mats for 5th gens.
No experience myself but have thought about it before.

Our dog is confined to the back cargo area when we travel. The rear seat backs are down so she has plenty of room. I get the furniture moving blankets from Harbor Freight and carpet the entire area, with a few small boxes of things to hold it in place. After the trip I just throw them away and get new ones. I tried to vacuum them once but it was useless.

@ JeuTheIdit
this looks very promising! $180 for front/rear passenger area is a good price! I could always figure out the cargo area myself, it's the passenger part that gets tricky.
@ JPOVS
please be our guinea pig and post all the tips n tricks during your install. I can't rip my interior apart until I get back to Texas in a couple months. thanks!
