RagoFab - 4RUNNER E-MSP (EXTERIOR MOLLE STORAGE PANEL)

Has anyone purchased and installed this new product of their's?

Also, when did their prices skyrocket? Nearly $300 for ONLY one exterior panel. Wow. When I purchased my interior panels they were ~$250 for both together. However, they certainly do make quality products.

WAY to much for what it is......

BUT, and a Big BUT....Rago looks to make good quality stuff. In thinking about this....Yes the CNC water jet machine is probably 100k....so they have to pay for that. So the question is...do they only make a limited amount of vehicle accessories so they have to charge more to cover cost and make a profit (which they should do). Seems like they are specialized in the use of their fab equipment so there is not alot of other cutting etc that they do for other industries that could help pay for the machine investment.

Just trying to rationalize the high cost.

Rago has always been fairly high priced, then again so are most of the accessory makers that get pimped on this board. Somebody must be buying this stuff at those prices otherwise they wouldn't exist.

If you need examples, just search for 5th Gen battery trays.
OR check out this completely worthless accessory

In their defense, recent labor and material shortages probably contribute to the ridiculously high prices. You have to pay for certain skills you can't get anyplace else. That 100k water jet machine they bought should have long ago paid for itself.

Rago used to actively post, maybe they will chime in and explain, but I doubt any of you will like what they have to say.

Way overpriced. That said its a niche item with little competition so the price is what it is. I say this being a big Rago customer who has bought alot of their stuff. Its pricey but if you want it at least it will fit well and generally they finish on their stuff is good.

Plus you get free rootbeer candies....

Rago is overpriced and their customer service sucks. I highly recommend finding a different company to do business with

Rago's customer service is excellent. Better than almost any other vendor I have dealt with, and that's a lot by now. I always receive replies same day and when I ask them to do something non-standard, they are happy to help.

Maybe share some picks of what you have purchased from them and put on your vehicle.

You get what you pay for. High quality well made and grt design stuff and great customer support. Don’t/can’t spend that much? Don’t. These aren’t shoes for your kids.

I was a huge Rago supporter and recommended a lot of people buy their products, I had a lot more Rago stuff on my ride until I purchased a brand new item that was shipped to me with evidence that it had been used or returned and had failing powder coating and looked like sh#t and had rust all over it. I reached out to their customer service and got no response on multiple attempts, then got bs run around and basically ignored. So I stopped supporting them and stopped recommending people use them, and I sold most of the items that I had installed. I still have my Rago molle panels and light bar mount, but plan to replace them with something else eventually. I'm done supporting them after the way things were handled but to each their own

I have most of their gear in my T4R and it definitely is high quality, sans the coating. Their products were reasonably priced a year or so ago. Heck, that toilet paper holder was ~$30 less than a year ago. I am just disappointed in their price on these panels. It seems like highway robbery and they know, as one of the only ones on the market with this product, they can charge whatever they want. It is pretty much the interior panels with high-grade suction cups.

Seems like a good price. Joe's SLAP was always around $300 per side, but I think they might be out of business. Sherpa is even more at $325-375 per side. I got lucky and got a Joe's panel on facebook marketplace for $150. I like the Rago one better but for $150 I couldn't pass it up.

this thread reminded me to get one for passenger side.

I picked it over other manufactures because:

1. full window coverage
2. uses legit brand suction mounts
3. lots of possible configurations
4. good customer service (never had a problem with them)

I want one of these exterior panels, but want one that can somehow mount with a factory rack. I don't have a need for the big roof rack just yet.
