Did the Floor Mats Change?

Needed a new set of cloth mats for a 2011 Limited, ended up finding a new set from a 2018 TRD, rear mats fit perfectly, front mats were a little off. Are the mats slightly different from 2010-2013 and 2014-2022?

Wondering because there is a set of Weathertech mats from a 2021 for cheap, but are they not going to fit properly in the 2011?

Thank you

There is a different part for the 10-13 mats vs the newer ones, but I was under the impression that it was due to the mounting system they use.

I think you're 100% right, that's what I think threw me off, seems like the older 5th gen use a "hook" system, while based on the newer floor mats, the newer 5th gen seem to snap into place. The holes in the newer mats where bigger.

Yes, the 2010-2013 4Runners use a different anchor system for the front driver and passenger floor mats than the 2014+ 4Runners (when the face lift and other subtle changes were made).

I have my 2011 Limited carpeted floor mats somewhere in storage if you are interested. I use rubber mats year round.
