Alignment issues?

I bought my ‘22 4R ORP last December, and have only driven it in city, and a lot of freeway. I’m at the dealership getting the scheduled maintenance down. They texted this: “Hi Michael, seems like your vehicle's alignment is off of inspec on front camber and rear total toe. Would you like it adjusted today? (119.95 + tax)”. Isn’t this a bit early for something like this especially since I haven’t taken it off-roading at all?

Pending how it was done in the factory it could vary. Plus road conditions as well

Rear toe? The 4Runner has a solid rear axle and toe is not adjustable. If it is truly out, the dealer should offer to replace the rear axle under warranty.

Many dealers, including mine, have a quick alignment check machine when you drive into the service area. I think those are suspect; there to get revenue for the dealer. Just last week when I was in for annual service, they said my front camber was out, despite my having an alignment a year ago. When I pointed that out, the dealer insisted that they had never done an alignment on my 4Runner. When I pressed them, they then said the camber being out was OK because I had a lift. Bottom line: you just can't trust dealer service departments.

alignment and wheel balancing are both covered under warranty for the first 12 months or 12K miles. tell them to fix it on their dime.

My tundra was off 8 months after leaving the factory from just towing. I thought they said alignments were covered by warranty for the first year..

I would be suspect that anything is wrong as they state the rear toe is out. As fkheath stated everything in the rear is fixed with solid axle from factory. There are no adjustments. If there was truly an issue with the rear, then it would be due to something being damaged, and thus very unlikely from road driving.

Unless the truck is pulling to one side or you are seeing abnormal tire wear in front I wouldn't be too concerned. It sounds like they are just trying to get some money out of you.
