At least you are using the right oil. That seems to be the consensus view in 10k mile oil changes. The quality of the oil is essential.

I started doing oil changes at 5K on this 2021 T4R.
Will continue to do so.
Never had any issues with my 2014 doing changes at 10K, just my preference to do at 5K on this one.
Oil: My last oil change, they used = 7 Qts. GTMO 0W20 Toyota Synthetic

Have been changing my oil about every 3.000 miles.

Observant forum members pointed me to the manual which states use only synthetic oil and change oil every 10,000 miles or once a year.

Changing mine once a year equates to about 3,000 miles as I just turned over 10,000 miles after 3 years.

Can't say that changing my oil more often would be more beneficial in my situation.

worth keeping in mind that a 10k OCI is only to be considered when basically driving these things around like commuters. Toyota makes it clear in their manual that any heavy cargo and/or towing, usage of cargo carriers (added drag), extending idling (how many of us sit in heavy traffic) and short trips are essentially considered "severe use" and cut that OCI in half.

Toyota engineers wouldn't make that a caveat, in writing, if it wasn't applicable.

You'll find all that info in your Warranty & Maintenance Guide on page 38 (T-MMS-214Runner.pdf)

I am well aware of what is written in the manual & I also don't haul heavy, use a rooftop cargo carrier or tow.

Every 6 months or 5k miles. The one common thread on high mileage vehicles is consistent maintenance. The million mile Tundra engine looked like a low mileage unit on teardown. Engineers mentioned the consistent oil changes was key. It's cheap and easy to have the oil changed.

I'd go 5k if you are a normal commuter type of person.

I go 7500 but I am like 90% highway miles with no traffic.

Just rolled 170K. No issues to speak of.

sure - wasn't trying to single you out or anything, its just something that seems to get overlooked often by many owners.
