Weight Distribution Hitch - Recommended

In my research I have found conflicting and very thin info on if a weight distribution hitch can be used with a 4Runner. I have a 2021 TRD Pro. Can I use a WDH on my 4Runner? TIA!

Yes. WDH is no problem. Just keep your trailer reasonable for the 4Runner and you'll be good to go.

@Jetboy , thank you. Another question if you don’t mind. I am looking at the Husky 32217 Center Line TS with Springs, 600/800 tongue and 8000 lb. Capacity. My travel trailer is 3010lbs with 300 tongue weight, empty. Does this hitch sound like a perfect match for my rig? From my numbers it seems I am borderline on needing a WDH but I do get some squat when fully loaded.

If those trailer spec's are off the brochure, then that tongue wt will be much higher when propane/batteries are installed at the front. WD with sway control is a must with this size tow vehicle imo. Also, I originally had a cheaper hitch set-up when I first towed a tt (not on the 4r) and it was never very good. I then switched to a blue ox and the difference was night/day. Good luck.

Yes you can. But it takes a little research.
I have a 2019 PRO using a Draw Tite Class IV frame mounted hitch that was intended for the Australian Market Prado 150. Found it on AMAZON.

NOTE: it DOES require some minor enlargement of the forward set of mounting holes, a Dremmel tool with a carbide bit is your friend here.
That and a WD hitch and you are good to go to a 550lb tongue weight and 5500 GTW.
The stock 4Runner may not like it, but the frame mounted hitch adds a TON of piece of mind. Currently running this setup with no issues at all.
Good Luck,
AMLOR
