Mine is a 2023 Off-Road Premium and it has the heated steering wheel and blind spot monitors. The dealer was surprised as he had thought it didn't have that. Yes the wheel heats the sides but not the top position. However, from what I have read, that has been the norm for heated steering wheels for quite some time, with only now vehicles starting to be equipped with wheels that heat in the full 360.
For example, I was reading a guy on Reddit talking about what vehicle he'd like to get and he was looking at the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Two things he cited were: "A real heated steering wheel that heats the entire wheel, a panoramic sunroof..."
Now the wheel itself IMO does it's job nicely and I would have to DISAGREE ENTIRELY with those saying it's a useless feature. I've had to deal with a freezing wheel for years now in the winter and IT SUCKS. A heated steering wheel is a Godsend, especially if your hands are cold (even if gloved) from cleaning snow off the vehicle and then you get in and grip that warm wheel, it's NICE
Luxury features that are nice but not anything you majorly miss are things like automatic headlights and auto daytime running lights, rain-sensing windshield wipes, automatic climate control, etc...I had thought dual-zone climate control was stupid until experiencing it but it is actually nice to have.
My prior vehicle, a 1998 GMC Jimmy, had automatic headlamps and daytime running lamps. Having to manually switch the lights on with the 4Runner is no big deal to me. I do not miss that feature. It'd be nice to have, but is not any big deal. But things like the heated steering wheel, heated windshield wipers, heated side mirrors, heated seats, etc...those I WOULD miss.
