Adding another Audio Upgrade Story

This has been done plenty of times, otherwise I wouldn't be where I'm at. However, each experience is different so I thought I would post pics of my journey along the way. If any interest I will continue until the job is done. Very pleased with where I'm at so far night 1.

2018 Limited, Black, w/ JBL w/ Nav

Project: Remove JBL factory sub and amp; Keep factory H/U; add new amp, replace all speakers, add JL Audio Powerwedge+ 10 inch.

Warning: I am not an expert. Any mistakes I make will hopefully be pointed out by someone and if I F anything up, others can learn.

However, also sharing the tools I'm using along the way and will try to add any value that may help someone else in a similar position. This is my first post, so if it gets messy, I will do my best to clean up my pics and comments to make it more helpful... if it even becomes helpful, lol.

So, after uploading the photos, I can't figure out how to go back and add comments, so I'll try that later, too excited I've gotten so far. The purpose for showing tools in some pics is so people see what it was I used that so far has allowed me to get by without breaking any tabs or anything else.

Getting Close!

I skipped a couple photos, but may go back later and add more if there's reason to. So, I have one bolt left, the seat bolt that goes into the side panel. After that, there should be a screw under the carpet.... what's behind door number 1 folks? I know, factory sub and amp, just making it fun. Hehe

That's a wrap for now, I'm going to bed

Step 1 complete, the panel is off. I must say, it was much smoother than I expected. What I found to be 100% necessary and would never consider doing without is the pry tools. I've seen people mention using screwdrivers and I'm sure there's some talent out there that could pull it off... not me. I'll post all the tools I used, which amounted to my Dewalt driver and a couple phillips bits, socket wrench; 10, 12, & 14 mm sockets; a few different size and shaped pry tools, and I'm tired now and probably forgetting something. For me, the most difficult part was prying the panel off while trying not to break any tabs, and surprisingly removing the 12 volt plug and cigarette style plug. That is because I couldn't get a good view of where to press and pull to release it at first. That's a wrap, congrats if you read all this and I didn't bore you to death but thanks. Will post pic of the a/m speakers, amp, sub, and dsp after I sleep and get some stuff done around the house and yard.
