The best off-road ditch light kit?
LASFIT sent us this ditch light kit for the 2014-2022 4Runner. For the price this kit includes everything, to include the low profile hood brackets. I was really impressed by the quality of all components and for $189.99 for the sport kit and $309.99 for the HP (high performance) kit, it really is hard to find a better deal, in terms of both quality and performance, especially at this price point. Just wanted to drop the video link here. If you haven’t already please subscribe to the channel as many more install video’s, upgrades, and general content on our channels 4Runner will be coming soon. Let me know what you guys think? I am hoping to put these up against some other competitors out there for an unbiased comparison video.
My goal is to be honest in all my videos, and having run Baja Designs exclusively on my Raptor, I can honestly report that these are very good lights.

Wouldn’t mind also turning this into a discussion. What kit do you run and why?. I think a lot of people could gain insight and help make better decisions. Obviously some people have pieced together components but please feel free to share your setup.

Dude how can we take your “honest review” seriously you were essentially paid by Lasfit to promote their cheap knockoff lights which they are charging too much for. In the lighting world you get what you pay for. Fine for off-road cosplay but for folks who need good lighting to drive off-road at night I’ll invest in solutions that give me the best in lighting.

Paid, yeah definitely not paid. But I have no problem fully disclosing that these were sent to me to try out. If you don’t want to take my review “seriously”, not much I can do about that.
I was sent a product to review and that’s exactly what I did, I won’t make a single penny off of it and I like to keep it that way so I can remain unbiased. I will also be updating this thread if these have any issues, because again like I stated, my goal is to help the 4Runner community make informed decisions on aftermarket options.
Here is a question for you, why don’t you reach out to LASFIT to test them out for yourself?, they are always looking for people to give HONEST reviews. I’m not turning this into an argument but you make some pretty bold statements for what I am assuming is someone who has never tried them. I have had serious off-road lighting setups on my Raptor (Baja Designs) so I can judge these with a history of non “cosplay” lighting.
As I stated,I will be having more videos to come where I will be doing direct comparisons between these and other lighting options as I am not tied to one brand. Thanks for taking the time to respond and maybe you could now let us know what you run and why!

Cmon guy, what was part of that agreement of them sending you out free product?

I literally took a shot in the dark, emailed them and asked to test their lights in an exchange for an honest review because I wanted to start reviewing products. Start a YouTube channel etc. No agreement, nothing signed no coercion or asking me to only talk good about them.
I have no problem taking screenshots of the emails and PM’ing them to you, seeing as how you still think there is something in this for me. Let me know, nothing to hide on my end, I understand the skepticism on your end though.

my lasfit driving optics are better than the Baja designs SAE optics.
now, my baja designs XL pro's are ridiculously bright and totally wash out the lasfits.

Practically everything is brighter than the Baja SAE offering. Including OEM foglights.

lol no. Baja SAE are probably brighter than most but how they make them SAE is odd with there lens covering and cuts down on the max visual output.
I got the SAE Baja's for there quality and made in US. They were definitely a huge improvement over OEM and better coverage. Mostly got them because the headlights suck and they made a decent improvement filling in the dark spots the stock headlights fell short.
I also ended up splitting the LED's to half Amber and half white and also added a set of S1's for backing down the trails. Brightest things I have ever seen for such a small size.

maybe baja and rigid SAE replacements is to cater to the OEM manufacture's specs, not necessarily to improve on those specs, in order not to create a nuicense when used on-road/freeway/hwy.
Another theory, is they went through the dot/sae process before other manufactures jumped into the game, and since they wanted to get fast approval, had a more conservative approach to lighting output and lens design...who knows.
I'm just happy we have alot of manufactures to choose from these days.

I agree the BD SAE lights were horribly designed and their attempt to fix it by sending owners those "blinders" to control light was a joke. However, we are talking about offroad only lights which imo BD excels at.

Everything in life is always about compromise.
I always suggest people to buy based on their needs and budget.
Technology will always trickle down to more affordable solutions.
Ignore the haters, who seem to think their solution is the only viable solution.
cheers!!!

Agreed. This forum is to be helpful and to give feedback. Most of the forum users are great, but, there is a handful of members that give partial to complete impertinent responses.
OP, I would consider looking at some Diode Dynamicsditch lights. Diode Dynamics SSC2 LED Pods / 4Runner Ditch Light Kit – Lightwerkz Global Inc
