I don't think TRD pads harder on rotors. These pads are grippier but softer compound and will wear out sooner. Replacing them especially up front is 10 min job. Slightly more dust is true but not bad enough where you will notice from over 6ft away.

Thanks for the info on the rotors. I was wondering how Toyota made the pads grippier with just ceramics. Usually brake pads with better stopping power usually have some type of metallic materials which wear down the rotors faster. I didn’t know if they were using some other type of material. But if the TRD is still all ceramic then the wear should be the same as the OEM pads
