Bull bars or other similar front end bars for limited?

Anybody know a bull bar or similar type bar that will fit a 16 Limited? I want to relocate my ditch lights below the headlight but with the plastic limited front there arent a lot of options for in front of the grill. ANy ideas? I see some online that say they fit, does anybody know if they fit the limited or have one? THanks

is it the black plastic spoiler at the bottom of the front bumper that's getting in the way? if it's that black plastic spoiler piece you can remove it. I remove mine and have had no ill-effects.

who did your king suspension and slider install? did you do that yourself? I assume you deleted the XREAS rather than cap the lines off

Yeah I installed the Kings and removed the XREAs, also installed the Sliders. No point capping them easier to chop them out. I need to find some way to mount the lights on a rigid type bar or plate. Not sure how to do this without custom fabbing something. Was hoping there was something simple to put in place. z

what about behind the grille. there's a guy here mynameistory who did that and it looks sleek. no need for a bullbar. do you do any contract work for mods. I have been thinking of removing the XREAS when it's time and getting a mild 1.5" to 2" lift. In 2021 I couldn't even get a shop to take my business. no one had availability... sliders would be the very last mod because I don't really need them. I have a 2012 and the unused frame holes would all need to be tapped/cleaned out from years of gunk/rust buildup. I swear every bolt is a fight to remove at this point after so many years. suspension and sliders is just too much for me to do myself and honestly suspension is beyond my skillset and tool selection at home lol. sliders would just be a pain in the ass. if my 4runner was a project car and not a daily driver that I could work on leisurely and take as long as I wanted and spread the work over a few days or weeks to learn then I'd attempt it

for your sliders did you just remove the rocker trim or swap to a trail trim?

Maybe the Rago behind the grill light bar mount may work for the limiteds too. It does have several heights you can mount.
My limited doesn't look like a limited anymore.

I ran this Tyger bull bar for 3.5 years until very recently when I got my Warn LoPro bumper.
Here is a pic. I thought it was a nice looking bar.

Removing the XREAS is easy. Get a large set of bolt cutters, a rag and a bucket. I was originally going to remove nicely to maybe re sell, but screw that. I cut the hard lines at each shock as the flare nuts were going nowhere due to corrosion. Pressure relief with rag over it not to bad. Then i manually removed the hard lines along the frame rail on both sides followed by the booster. On the drivers side front the hard lines cross the vehicle. Once depressurized and chopped they are easy to get out.

The sliders? No problem...just dont drop it on your face like me.. hehe

Anyhow only major issue was on the sliders I had to drill two holes on one side and use stick nuts to fasten it. Easy. Cobalt bits go through the frame no problem at all. I rigged up a wooden death like assembly and put sliders on service jack and moved them into position then lifted to get close to holes..bolt one hole partially in and then do the rest. Its not so bad.

If you need any tips on XREAS let me know.

Yeah this would be ideal. Ill see what they say. Their site claims it wont fit limited but it sure has a lot of holes and im doing pod lights not a bar. Got any pics of yours? Ideally I would change front end to a SR5 bumper or similar to get hidden winch. But was also thinking about getting winch on rear hitch mount as well so I can remove when needed.

Nice! I took off my rockers as well. USed the shrockworks metal strip for a fill plate and the end cap. Made up some custom universal mud guards and all is well.

Can I ask rough cost to switch to SR5 front end? What year is yours again? Any issues with the SR5 swap out?

I did not get all the info on my own, I read Fatbikehauler's thread and a couple of others to get the main ideas and parts down. Plus/minus what I need and didnt need. Some great information to be found on this site. Thanks for all the help and ideas!

Parts cost depends on what you really need and the condition of the items. I went used almost everything. I waited and searched almost everyday to find what I needed. All my parts I found in black, didn't need to spend the cost to paint. Saved a few hundred just right there.

Used bumper about 200
Used reinforcement beam 100
Used rear bumper 150
Used rear valence 40
Lower grill is new aftermarket 50?
Under headlight brackets new 50 each?
New fog light shrouds 40?

Everything else was either moved over, cut out, or modified. If you're handy, you'll figure it out.

Finding paint matching parts in good condition was the hardest part.

What do you think cost is new for all of it? Anybody know if body parts come prepainted if OEM or do you need to paint on arrival?

Thanks!

Yes. But, I don’t want to ship it. I have all the hardware. It is about a 30 minute job with another person to install. $100

Where are you located? I cover from SoCal to Montana and my wife is happy to wander in retirement whilst I work.
