Question Gobi stealth with CVT Denali rtt.. any concerns?

Hey folks,

Just impulse bought a CVT Denali rtt. I currently have a Gobi stealth (without no rise option). Any issues with using the Gobi crossbars for mounting this rtt? Or should I consider alternate crossbars (Thule, etc)? The only concern is the overall lengh of the rtt and the fact that I do not have the no-rise option.

TIA

Once it comes in and I sort out my crossbar situation, I'll upload a photo.

We have the standard Gobi Stealth (rise option but no lightbar) with removable crossbars that we use with our CVT Mt. Shasta. Works a treat! No problems at all.

What's the front-to-back length of the Denali when it's folded and stored for travel? I'll happily go measure on our rack the same dimension and advise if there might be an issue.

EDIT: I measured from the distance between the front bar to the ladder (tailgate open) and only measured 85". CVT website says 87" so you might have a problem... Let me know if there's any other measurements you want me to make for you.

does adding a rtt create a lot more wind noise that can be heard inside the cabin?

Thanks for confirming this information. Sorry I did not reply back sooner. I ended up realizing the same thing and ordered the Gobi elevation crossbars which should raise it up enough to clear the rise in the front.

The tent is quite big haha, should be fun in the spring when I put it on top. I'm hoping that if all goes well with it, I will make a basic trailer for it due to the size (and weight). Can't imagine what a full length 200lb tent would do to my mpg haha.
