What I think is the greatest Mod of all. I had the dealer turn off the seat belt chime but that red light continued to taunt me.

Yeah baby!

I too tried the Stubby from CravenSpeed and found that the reception really sucked. I live in the woods about 1 hour north of Philly and when scanning picked up only 1 or 2 stations. While I rarely listen to the radio I did want better performance.

I went with Amazon.com: Bmw Z3 Z4 318 Black Carbon Fiber Retractable 4.5 - 8" Inch Antenna: Automotive

Even down it picked up many more stations than the Stubby. Up, very impressive! It came with a few adaptors - one of them fit perfectly.

Installed the Gobi Stealth rack with Ladder. As its been talked about enough I'll just post some pics that may be of help to others. Ladder has been removed as I'm waiting on a solution to my tail gate struts not strong enough to hold the door up with the weight of the ladder.

Light Switch # 00550-35976 designed to fit 22 mm x 40 mm opening so Mr. Dermal was needed. As somebody once said, you have not lived until you take a dermal to a $ 40K+ truck.

For anybody using this switch: Pin 2 = Power, Pin 3 = Load, the lamp or 86 pin of relay, Pin 4 = Ground. We powered and grounded the light switch to the hazard light wires.

Did I mention that I had to dermal?

Really wanted a fold down option for the antenna. My friend fabricated a bracket to integrate into the Gobi mount. The brass fold down mount is from Breedlove Machine and its really heavy duty. The Breedlove allows use when folded down which is great for keeping in contact with fellow trail riders while not worrying about branches.

Tailgate cup holders? How are these not mandatory?

Used the exact same cup holder as Antman. However, 1.25" from the edge would have been way too close so 1.75" worked for me. In the end my placement seems exactly as Antmans. 13.25 seemed right but on my Limited I was greeted by a metal bracket taunting at me through the passenger side hole. Upon inspection it was the bracket that held the Tire Pressure sensor and there was no way the cup holder would fit. The bracket is held to the truck by one bolt and the sensor is held in by two screws. I got rid of the bracket and wire tied the sensor up and out of the way. Hope it does not cause issues down the road. I did use a 2.75" hole saw but still needed to dermal it out just a bit to make it fit snug.

There was a thread about Survival Gear. I used a backpack filled with stuff but most of the time I ended up removing the pack from the truck for various reasons such as room or not wanting the dog to ear a MRE. So, I did the Brute Force (tm) Rear Wheel Well Storage Mod. Between the two sides and the storage area that hold the jack, everything fit plus a tow strap not shown. The small tool kit went under the passenger seat.

Included are a few MRE with heaters, Mountain House freeze dried food, Coast Guard Water pouches, Gatorade, shovel, batteries. flash lights, whistle, compass, flashlight, hand powered SW radio, glow sticks, masks, water proof matches / lighters, fire starters, multi tools, hand warmers, space blankets, survival knife, can openers, 9 hour candles, utensils, portable fishing kit, tooth brush / paste, etc.

Of course a G27 (for those in Canada that's a Glock 27 .40) in the tissue holder. Used a Glock Sport/Combat Holster Md: H017043
