Driver's Seat Belt Locking Up Intermittently
I'm having issues with my seat belt locking up to the point where I can't use it. At first, it would catch half-way, I would let it retract completely, then would be able to pull it out and fasten it. Last night when I tried to use it, the buckle wouldn't move at all. I ended up taking off the panels and removing the bolts on the seat belt to get it to release. It started working again just fine until I had to run an errand this morning and it did the same thing. I've tried VERY slowly pulling on the seat belt, but the furthest I can get it is about 1/4 of the way out. Looking at the back of the panels, there's a bunch of lint that's inside the panels. I cleaned up as much of it as I could. Is there any way to clean out the locking mechanism? Has anyone ever fixed this issue before?
