2016 suddenly when turning in 4 high, binds up
my 4runner,, which i had just driven the last couple days,, has low easy mile 40k miles,,,,i was turning around in my cul de sac on pavement to load onto trialer,, it was in 4-high,, all of sudden i feel resistent as i am turning,, and then as i was turning left, the 4runner like raised on the left and lowered in the right,, like i was driving over a bump on the front left,, but i wasn't. any thoughts? i took it over to some dirt and it didn't do it in 4 high or low, but once back on the pavement, same thing in 4-high. as i drive straight, it works fine. i would be a little concenred at higher speeds in 4-high.

That’s normal. Don’t make sharp turns on pavement when in 4WD.

You have a Part-Time 4wd, with no differentiation front to rear in the transfer case. Both T-case outputs turn at the same speed. When you turn, each tire follows a different path, which means each tire is rolling on the ground at a different speed.
With open diffs in the rear axle and front differential housing, they can compensate for the different tire speed at opposing sides left-to-right. But with the front and rear tires following different paths through the turn, the front and rear driveshafts would need to spin at different speeds, too. But with the Part-Time 4wd T-case having no way to allow a different speed between the front and rear outputs, you get binding in the driveline, which is what you felt when you turned while your Part-Time 4wd was engaged.
That binding can create extra wear, and even break parts in extreme circumstances.
That's why it's advised that you only use Part-Time 4wd in slippery conditions, so that binding can be relieved by tire spin.
As mentioned, the Limited models have Full-Time 4wd, which incorporates a differential in the T-case, which allows front and rear driveshafts to turn at different speeds, eliminating binding.

Can I ask, why are you even driving in 4-High? Was it snowing? Or even raining?
…of course, unless sarcasm… I hope

Lol, I thought the same thing. Then I noticed “a mentally disabled driver” in his signature and all was clear.

He could've been trolling. Or he truly didn't know the answer. Everyone who now understands how a Part-Time 4wd works, at one point didn't know.
What's the phrase: "The only stupid question, is the one not asked".
It's been attributed to several people throughout history, but I doubt we'll ever truly know the source.
