What’s this noise coming from the rear end?
My 4Runner is making a noise. I’ve heard this noise before but never could track it down so I just thought it was something outside. Finally, just now, I figured out the noise is coming from the rear end of my truck!

My truck has been parked in my garage for the last 5ish hours. I just happen to be near the rear when it started so I was able to tell that’s where it was coming from. What’s going on?! It almost sounds like some sort of compressor running.

The noise has now stopped. It happened for 5-10 minutes.

Most likely your Key-Off EVAP system doing it's thing. I couldn't hear the sound on your video, but I'm in a noisy place at the moment.

It's the evap system as he said. Perfectly normal.
