Inspired Overland Swaybar Feedback
Has anyone here tried the Inspired Overland swaybar set?
IO Sway Bar Kit - Inspired Overland
The factory bar on my 2010 SR5 is so rusted it is chewing through bushings and I need to do something.
Factory replacement is $130 for the front and the Inspired Overland are $525 for the front and rear set.
I am not a huge rock crawler so loss of articulation is not that big of a deal. Most extreme use is Class IV roads in VT which are usually babyheads, some slabs, and mud.
Usual use is ripping around dusty dirt roads and curvy mountain roads and loading up the fam to go slow cruise the Class IVs.
I also have TRD Pro Fox suspension to put on at the same time I am swapping the bar.

In the sports car world, you replace your sway bar with a stiffer version to reduce body roll in corners and increase traction. Wouldn't that be the exact opposite of what we wish to achieve with regards to articulation?

Hey thanks for the thread bump, but I’m not following where you are going with that comment.
The initial post is clear that I’m not concerned with the loss of articulation trade off for reduced body roll and am soliciting feedback on a relatively niche product from a new company to the largest 5th Gen forum outside of Facebook.
I’ll update if I take the plunge or not.

I'm with this guy. I don't see the point of stiffer sway bars a 4runner.

Yes, I painted my rear sway bar red winter before last, it still looks good hanging from ceiling in basement!

Think non KDSS sway bar is is 20mm thick? I herd ADDCO or some companies made them for the FJ? To be honest its not going to improve the road ride much with such a tall tire and only a sway bar replacement.

I don't see any difference in geometry between the IO parts and the OEM parts but that pic isn't great either. I can't imagine they sell too many of these and that's reason alone to avoid imo. If you want red swaybars go OEM and just get a can of paint.

Do what I did: replaced the front stabilizer bar with one from a Limited (thicker) and the fr+rr bushings with poly ones. And thicker end links, cause I could. It makes a huge difference in the parking lot at the mall. I don't have KDSS and don't rock crawl.

Less body roll on the road is always a plus for me but that website gives no info on the sways whatsoever. I added the TRD rear sway to our 17 Tundra and that made a huge difference in the handling, I wish they offered them for the 4Runner.
