On Amazon they sell the cable and software for $100. It been hacked and I don't see how Amazon lets them do this or why Toyota doesn't shut them down. Another example of how China is creating knock offs of so much USA stuff. Reviews I've read will say that when they try to install the software their antivirus says it has a virus. The reply from the vendor is to turn off the antivirus software.

So no, there's no way that's authentic and I wouldn't be installing it or hooking up anything to my OBD port. I understand why independent garages don't want to deal with it. There's probably lower cost solutions than Toyota OEM that don't require special software and subscriptions. I'd go with another brand of TPMS sensor before I got the Chinese knock off stuff. Dill is good second choice.

I had issues with TPMS after DiscountTire installed new tires. They couldn't get the light out. Dealership had to sort it out.
