If you got the tsb/ recall letter or not. You need to get in the cue and here's how to do it if you haven't.
Lots of info but the purpose of my post is to tell you that if you have peeling paint on your super white/ pearl white 4runner the deadline to have it evaluated and considered for the program is Dec. 11th, 2022. The TSB leads you to believe you can wait until 11/4/2024 but I was told if you weren't in the cue for coverage by 12/11/2022 you are out of luck, by the local Toyota dealer and by the folks (including a supervisor) at Toyota Customer Exerience. Even if you got the letter saying you're in the program, you need to get in the cue/ on the schedule (I was told).
If you have peeling paint call your local Toyota dealer immediately and ask to speak to the service manager, body shop manager, or general manager (escalate if needed).
Say you feel you are eligible for the program, or if you got the letter say you need to be added to the repaint cue. The dealers may give you some pushback, I won't go into detail but you need to be willing to go up the chain of command, and you may have to go in person...
If you get nowhere call Toyota Customer Experience at 888-270-9371 but they can only help so much.
Now, if you got the letter and the letter says bring it in whenever your coverage doesn't expire, that's great but I'd double check by calling your dealer and talking to the body shop manager or service manager!
