Anyone done the 200 series steering rack in a 5th gen?

If so what differences did you notice, how much better or worse was the handling? thanks really need feedback

Oooo that would be an awesome feeling. If you’re talking about a 200 Series Land Cruiser rack, in my experience, it’s a very heavy feel, but it’s also on-center and doesn’t fight you to turn.

People on here have done the switch and also broken the LC200 rack. So it’s not the silver bullet answer to running bigger tires on our platform unfortunately. I’m sure it helps though. From what I’ve seen you most likely would want to pair it with a long travel system ie. Marlin Crawlers RCLT. The rack is much wider than our stock setup.

What mods are required - do certain parts bolt up or is it endless custom fabrication

It requires fabrication of new rack mounts since its wider. It also looks like folks are replacing the stock tie rods with ones with heim joints.
